I'm sorry but..., the Freedom Tower & the other WTC buildings just don't have the same physical & emotional presence that the Twin Towers of the WTC had.

I think we owe it to the people who lost their lives and their families to rebuild these towers. they should be built in memory of the victims and show that this nation will remain united and stronger than ever!! RIP 9/11 victims.

since i was a little girl, i've always want to go to New York on Christmas.. i really hope that one day, standing in front of the new towers, my daughter says: "mom, they're amazing", to which i will answer: "yes, they are hon, some fanatics tried to vanish them off, but they rebirth, as a proof that no matter how bad the fall is, but the courage and dreams that makes you rise stronger..and indeed; Amazing!"

It’s called the “Freedom Tower”, and its 1776 ft tall. That is pathetic; it’s like an emotional whimpering squeal of a desperate comeback. Furthermore, the Twin Towers stood more for our economic triumph than our freedom. It is a symbol that can only be replaced by none other than itself.Structures and what they stand for, are essentially immortal. It is ultimately our decision however, to resurrect it, or to let it be desecrated and vanquished by our enemies.

If they weren't destroyed, they'd still be there. And what better way to say, "In your face", than to put them back up, better than ever.

Rebuild, stronger, and with the spirit the original towers were built with. Push them as high as technology can push. They were here my whole life. They stood as symbols for everything america is about. Don't settle for mediocre. With the "Freedom Tower", it feels like we are giving up on America.

I think rebuilding the twin towers will close alot of doors for victims as i am one. rebuilding the towers will not only show strength but closure in the whole incident. seeing the skyline without them is heart breaking and undescribable. i believe these marks need to be rebuilt to exact as they were.

New York is not New York without the twin towers!

Why this is up for debate is beyond my understanding. If someone lost a hand you don't replace that hand with a foot right...... So why would you replace a iconic landmark known the world over with something else.

The Twin Towers represented the ideals of the United States as well as anything. The only fitting memorial to all the innocent lives lost on 9-11 would be to rebuild the twin towers as they were - a bit stronger; a bit taller, sure, but, as they were on 9-10-01.
