I never got to see the Twin Towers in person, though I hope that will change soon. The Freedom Tower is fine, but it should be in another city, heck, even another borough. If what it takes to rebuild the Twin Towers is razing the new World Trade Center,then I'm down with that.

We need the Twin Towers. The new tower, One World Trade Center, just does not do it justice. I can’t even express the amount of sadness I have that those buildings aren’t there anymore, and what’s in their place is an eyesore, a modern contemporary-design skyscraper that completely ignores what made the Twin Towers unique. Nothing like them has ever existed, they were a tribute to the time period in which they were built, and a symbol of America. New York, and America itself needs the Twin Towers back.

It wouldn't of been the Freedom Tower. It would of been the Freedom TowerS. Because we want BOTH of those towers back the way they were except we're gonna build them stronger! We want them resisting! We're just being held back.. Who is holding us back? Politicians. Special Interest Groups. Political Correctness. Get 'em the hell outta your way. I'm British, and I say. Let's give the Americans a chance to build it back!

New York without the Twin Towers it's like Rome without the Colosseum, you have to fix that vacuum. The Freedom tower is an insult, The WTC pre-911 was architecturally perfect.

I'm among the many people who never got to visit the original World Trade Center prior to 9/11. Looking back at video footage of that tragic day is positively heartbreaking, and I'd give anything to see those tall towers return anywhere in the world, let alone to the Manhattan skyline. The new One World Trade Center is nice and all, but it's just not the same.

I'm not a big person in politics, I'm not a big person in government, in fact I'm not even old enough to vote. I just believe that the towers represented America's freedom it represented America. When the terrorists took that away from us they robbed us of our Liberty, they robbed us of what stood for us. If there was a way to bring them back, for my children to see, my grandchildren to see, that would be amazing... Bring back the Twin Towers!

I personally was born after 9/11, and I never even got to see them, and that breaks my heart. We need to rebuild them taller than One WTC including it's spire. Seeing these buildings again would make alot of people emotional, including me. So let's rebuild these Towers! It's never too late to rebuild them after all...

That Freedom Tower in New York City doesn't remind me of 9/11 at all. I think the Twin Towers would be a better reminder of that day and would be more respectful to the 9/11 victims and families than the Freedom Tower is or ever will be.

The World Trade Center was a complex that symbolized NYC & symbolized our country and ever since the tragic events of 9/11/01 our voices and opinions haven’t been heard and that goes for the victims who survived and the families that lost their loved ones on 9/11. I ask that we as a community and those who own the WTC complex listen to us and rebuild the Twin Towers (the original World Trade Center complex completely) & on a personal note I would love to see the Twin Towers come back because those towers and the complex was such a unique place to be at and it was a unique place that took the hearts of millions of people and like I said it defined the NYC skyline and NYC.

Twin Towers were simple. but very business-style and great. I wish they were rebuilded. If they will it will be perfect. They will be like Rished From Ashes!

It's time that, like the Phoenix, the Twin Towers arise from the ashes to retake their former glory in New York.

I have sometimes wondered why the Twin Towers were not rebuilt instead of that pretty but not-good-enough thing they just threw down, and leaving those two giant fountain-holes. After visiting this website, I now realize it was worse than I thought. The Twin Towers need to return. They were stolen from us and any red-blooded American or New Yorker should be very angry that they haven't been rebuilt -- good on Donald Trump for throwing his weight behind Twin Towers II. As a Millennial, my only memory of the WTC is of the smoking doomed skyscrapers. 9/11 defined the Twins for my generation. That's not right. The WTC is just a tragedy memorial now. As long as that's the case, Al Qaeda's won. RAZE ONE, PUT UP TWO!!

I'm signing in the hope WTC's original buildings will replace the current ones, but safer and modern inside and the wonderful fountain' sphere restored. I'm imagining an underground street below the site too. However i lost any hope to see the towers in their place once again but i trust you.

I was born on 1997 and i never had a chance to visit the former site. I'm signing in the hope this petition will succeed and the site, especially WTC 1 and 2, restored to the original (or almost) design, externally at least.

The new World Trade Center complex isn't terrible, but really? In my opinion, the only way we could heal from 9/11 is if the WTC be built how it was when it was destroyed.

I was born overseas in the year 96 and I was too young to remember 9/11. Heck I wasn't aware of the Twin Towers existing until I saw the 76 remake of King Kong. Upon years later I saw what the new World Trade Center was going to look like and that's when I found this site. I did question why don't they rebuild towers. It left me for some years until I went to New York for the first time. I liked the Freedom Tower when I saw it in person but it would look nicer with the towers next to it. After my trip I saw what the new design of WTC2 was going to look like and I hated it! That's when my appreciation for the Twin Towers grew! They're my favorite NY landmark second to the Empire State Building and I want to see them back!!!

Symbolism is a great thing in America. The twin towers represented symbolism. When you look at them you have an epiphany and realize just how special they were to us. Please rebuild them.

Hi my English is bad but i went to Manhattan when i was 12 with my family and we we're watching many famous thing like empire state, times square and 5th avenue but one thing i think is mystery was I saw the 2 enormous pool close to one world trade center and when my father saw that his face was sad because he lost his best friend in the twin towers and I went to memorial 9.11 and he was right the tragedy happened in 9.11. My father was in the twin towers. He said he was in the Fuji bank in south tower and when he felt the crash to north tower hit with something. Fortunately my father felt danger so he succeed to escape. Now one world trade center is build but this not make satisfied for new york families. So twin towers need be rebuild. I love your project. The Twin Towers were a symbol of America's freedom, and were the heart of New York City. America wants them back. Freedom Tower is an impressive building, and it should be kept. It would look AMAZING with the twin towers next to it. The buildings around freedom tower are ugly AF! My best friend died in this and I know that he would have wanted this.

I'm 15 years old and I was only 7 months old when the twin towers collapsed. I never got a chance to see them in person. The twin towers are the only things that I could think about. Why don't we just rebuild them? It would be nice for the twin towers to rise from the ashes. All that I ever wanted to do was to go to New York and visit the twin towers in person. Please bring back the tallest skyscrapers in NYC. It's too late to do that.

I do not think that the freedom tower is an ugly building but it doesn't match in the ny skyline for me it looks more it belongs in a city like Toronto. But i absolutely hate the other new buildings in the area like the proposed 2 WTC ugh. For a long time i have wanted to visit the twins but i never got the chance. So i want the towers to be rebuilt tho it's beginning to get late now... But maybe we should build the Twin Towers 2 in another area in New York??

I had loved (and still love) the Twin Towers since the first time I saw them, on a poster, when I was a 5 yo child.

I always thought that the view from Brooklyn Bridge, with the towers rising up, was the most powerful, evocative, recognizable urban landscape of the world. Also romantic along with Eiffel Tower from Trocadero and the city of Florence from Belvedere. A TRADEMARK.

I was obviously shocked on 9/11 but equally disappointed when Bloomberg, Pataki, PA and Silverstein Properties decided to not consider at least the "idea of a twin".

NY always changes but in this case the decision of changing was wrong as we needed something that would have shown REBIRTH: new TWIN TOWERS.

PS- Charging people for paying tribute is also disgusting.

I think i was around three years of age when the towers went down. I had no idea about them when i was young, but when we had the 9/11 memorials at my school and on tv, i got to see the towers for their true beauty and what we lost. I am a firm believer/supporter of the rebuilding of the world trade center.

Please build back the Twin Towers. I was 4 when the tragedy we know as 9/11 happened. As I grow older and see less people care and remember what happened it really makes me sick. My biggest dream in life is to see the towers rising above everything else one more time. My life would be complete if I could just see them and all of what they stand for.
