WTC MUST return. AS IT WERE. Changing the NYC skyline sets a final and long-lasting defeat to this city and to the rest of the free world. These towers must reign the skies again – better, stronger and safer but essentially the same. The voice of the majority will be heard. As we were shaken at the sight of the disaster, we need the spirit of what these towers stand for re-embodied, showing that our common beliefs and hopes will never be altered!
I was only 5 when the twin towers were attacked. I remember sitting on the floor in my lounge room waiting for my favourite children’s television shows to come on. They didn’t. Instead, ABC was reporting on the story of 2 commercial jet airliners that were hijacked and flown into the Twin Towers. Only as I grew older have I realised the importance of what happened on that day. If we rebuild the twin towers we are showing terrorists around the world that we are resilient and will not be kept down by them.

They managed to rebuild Dresden and Berlin not to mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki in a reasonable amount of time and they were entire cities but you can’t rebuild two towers due to bureaucratic bickering? Re-invent them a little bit fair enough but get the most famous skyline in the world back to its former glory at any cost.

I dont have alot to say but i would really like to see the towers rebuilt. Anytime NY comes to mind i think of Lady liberty, the empire state building and of course the beloved twin towers. Visiting NY for the 1st time soon, wish they were still there 🙁
If a natural monument, feature or landmark was destroyed then we could only remember how it was but here is an opportunity to rebuild something that was manmade to start with, and with better technology and safety measures. The Freedom Tower just looks a ghastly and the fact that it has been plagued by controversy is a bad omen.
The idea of building this monstrosity that is called the Freedom Tower, and not either the original or proposed World Trade Center 2 towers is a heinous crime not only to New York, but to the rest of the world. Even though originally they were built just as any other commercial building, and belonged to the financial market, over the years it belonged to the people becoming as iconic as the Statue Of Liberty, even more so now. Please, listen to the people, rebuild the icons not the lifeless proposed plans.

I love the twin towers. On september 11th my mom came home from work. And saw me crying she turned on the T.V and was stunned.It was 11:00 a.m. witch meant the towers were already down. I was 5 when they came down. Now I am 12 about to turn 13. I have researched alot about twin towers. Watched videos. And even made tributes. But i still cant get that sicking feeling out of my heart. Only way to get it out is to rebuild the twin towers. 65ft higher so they are tallest buildings in the world again

I believe that replacing the old towers as opposed to going with the current watered down and non-inspiring project would be a great tribute to the families involved with this tragedy, would replace one of New York’s iconic landmarks and also show the resilience and strength of this city and the nation as a whole.
