I was 8 years old when the twin towers went down and I have always thought why dont they rebuild them. I am coming to New York next year 2010 because I love the look and atmosphere of New York. I think that the twin towers were the most beautiful buildings ever, they stood taller than anything else and it was as if to say “here I am” and I liked that. Obviously I don’t live in America but that just shows if it has had that much of an affect on me then the people of America will agree.

The Twin Towers was a wonderful construction destroyed by two airplanes pilot by terrorists 11-S, after these moment the world change and NY Without WTC1 and WTC2 is very different. The plan of Freedom Tower and other buildings different than Twin Towers isn’t appropiate to Ground Zero (isn’t representative such was old Twin Towers). The old Twin Towers were more than simple towers, were a NY, US , America and Worldwide Symbol, and must be reconstructed.
It is incredible that 1 World Trade Centre is being allowed to proceed. It is a sure sign of defeat to Al Qaeda. For all of us across the world that were affected by this disaster the only possible way to stand up and prove our will against such appalling behaviour is to rebuild the Twin Towers and show the Manhatten skyline as we all knew it. Plus, the memorial you’re suggesting is even more significative than the one that is planned. The twin towers provided lower Manhattan with a strong skyline which was lengendary prior to the attacks. I was only 17 years old when the attacks occured but the old WTC is still a strong part of my imaginary. I can’t imagine New York City without them.

First of all, I’m a citizen of other nation. Anyhow, I just want to support in rebuilding the TWIN towers in the WTC site- better, stronger, & taller! in this way we can remember the memories of the wounded hearts of the thousands of people killed/victims on that terrible day, also this is a bolder message to send terrorists that New York or the USA will NOT be defeated. “We can make things possible if we truly believe we can.” Restore the New York skyline to it’s previous beauty.
Freedom Tower, along with the rest of the new WTC Complex is completely meaningless, bearing no memory to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01. I cannot emphasize this next point enough… Stop building that monstrosity that is ‘Freedom Tower’ and bring back the icons of the American Economy – The Twin Towers! A poll conducted by MSNBC found that 92% of Americans would want to see the Twin Towers rise from the ground again. 8% want to destroy New York. Pretty conclusive I would say.
When you were young, made buildings with Lego or Sandcastles at the beach. Lets take sandcastles, you build two. Then somebody comes along and intentionally knocks them both down. Would you rebuild both or just one? Personally, I would rebuild both! One is like admitting defeat. But two, standing taller, signify power and pride. To summerize the above: Rebuild the Twin Towers!

I was really fortunate enough to visit the twin towers on 2 occasions during a short holiday to Manhatten in October 1993, Ironically, a few months after a previous terrorist attack. I visited the outside viewing area from the top of the South Tower both at day, and at dusk. The view of the city captured my heart. Nowhere on Earth can give you that amazing feeling or view of the best city in the world, bar none.
