Since 9/11 I became shocked as to why those buildings came down.
I have loved NY always and look forward to visit there for the first time, but not without the twin towers in the city!
The project for TT II is well underway and it seems the best solution.
I don’t like the Freedom Tower and all those ‘skyscrapers’ which are not comparable to the original buildings.
I hope to see the skyline again with those twin buildings rebuilt again.
New York IS the skyline we used to see. It simply IS. Seing anything else, as the Freedom Tower (nothing against its design) means showing that terrorist CHANGED our lives. NO, they didn’t! Let’s show them they didn’t and that we are strong as ever, as before.
The towers of world trade center had always been an American symbol. I am Brazilian and here in Brazil all want the towers as it was before and I am certain that everybody also wants this. I do not know to say English, I used a translator to say these words, but valley imposes a fine on an effort it reconstructs this project of the towers therefore is what more it is come close to the americano symbol!

I have been on google earth manhatten and compared silversteins wtc wth the twin towers 2 design, and cant stop looking at the twin towers 2 wth its relation to the rest of the skyline and it looks brilliant.Larry Silvertein’s wtc just looks crap in relation to the skyline.
America without the Twin Towers is like Microsoft without a computer. For the sake of all that makes sense, rebuild the Twin Towers. Standing, they would represent a nation of great power, for which you should be proud. Freedom Tower represents a nation defeated by terrorists, for which you will be ashamed.
The twin towers were beautiful buildings, and although I don’t see greater sense in this petition I give my vote for it, because if you don’t fight, then you’ve already lost.
I never got the chance to climb to the top of the WTC (always saw it in ‘Kevin Lost in New York’ at the beginning) but it was taken away from me with the attacks. I admire the architecture and I think it matches the skyline much better than a supermodern building and that it’s NOT a vilification of the victims of 9/11.
The twin towers need to be rebuilt; they fit in with New York much better than this other design, and as we are mourning the loss of the buildings as well as the loss of life, it makes sense to attempt to heal some of these wounds with a bigger and better World Trade Center.

America, NYC specifically, is like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle. Thing is, the people at Ground Zero holds the final pieces of the puzzle and, to this day, still refused to put it back to where they truly belong.
In short, America, The Beacon of Democracy, is not complete without the Towers, and the sad part is, your own leaders are the ones responsible for its authenticity.

the first time i heard about the twin towers i was just 6 years old and i had to leave my infant school early and we watched the news about the disaster and i think they should build not one freedom tower but two freedom towers but the second tower should have no spire like the first tower dose have and they should scrap the plans of letting the original 2nd tower from being built and let a twin of the freedom tower be built next to it just like the old twin towers
I would love to see the twin towers, WTC one and two, built exactly as they were originally. I believe by doing this, America can begin to take back what was so violently stolen on that day. As a Canadian, I would love to see them rebuilt, as this would to me, be the true American spirit shining through.
Forget rebuilding the towers at their original site. Thats to late. Why not collect money and build it someplace else? It could become an attraction wherever it is built. I am from germany and we lack of great skyscrapers. What may the costs be nowadays?

The economics are clearly in our favor, including factoring in the transition – as detailed in “A Plan to Save the World Trade Center.” The ONLY obstacles to an historically great development are political.
It amazes me how it has turned out to be so complicated. It’s so simple…

As has been said a thousand times, for us non-Americans, twin towers represented America. The void created by their destruction cannot in any way be filled by any other structure.

As child I dreamed of to see the twin towers live. They were a symbol of freedom for me. I lived behind the wall in east germany (GDR) to that time. On September 11, 2001, after the wall fell down, it was too late. Today I still dream of to see the twin towers in New York. Please, make my dream come true.
France always loved the Americans; and what happened to NY and to its people affected us as much as if it had happened in Paris and to our Eiffel Tower! But there couldn’t be another shape for the Eiffel tower or it wouldn’t be the Eiffel tower anymore! Americans should stand up all together for the rebuilt of the exact same skyline which made the identity of NY, maybe with improved materials, but with the exact same shape! These towers are part of your patrimony and should be rebuilt as such.

I understand that it could be psycologically damaging for some of the survivors and the families of those who died but we should show everyone that this is a positive project and it would symbolise the fact that terrorism is ineffective and that it is NOT the way forward.

As torres do World Trade Center sempre foram um sÃmbolo americano. Eu sou brasileiro e aqui no Brasil todos querem as torres como eram antes e estou certo de que todas as pessoas também querem assim. Aquele dia…11 de setembro de 2001 um dia tão triste, tão trágico para tantas famÃlias, o mundo inteiro acompanhou pedindo a Deus que tudo acabasse bem. Mas New York sem as Torres Gêmeas Não é New York. Ainda não conheço NY mas pretendo visita-la ano que vem, sei que não encontrarei as torres lá, mas gostaria muito de saber que estão sendo reconstruÃdas outras torres iguais as anteriores. Eu vi o projeto atual da ‘torre da liberdade’ achei ”ridÃculo”. Dou a maior força para que sejam reconstruÃdas as verdadeiras torres, pois elas sim são um Ãcone da historia, e se precisar assino mil vezes para que as Torres Gêmeas voltem.
