I was nestled tightly in my bed that morning, as I was Living in BC, so we were on Pacific Time. I remember my mom wouldn’t let me watch the T.V that day, I get very upset over these things. Anyways, I believe that nothing would make America prouder than to have their Twin Towers back. I know, it would make me proud to be in the neighboring country. I think the Freedom Tower isn’t safe, because it’s mostly made of glass. The Freedom Tower isn’t pretty such the Twin Towers, it looks like it’s from the space. The memorial doesn’t look spectacular and it’s expensive for the maintenance. The memorial with flags and with the wall sections is better. The Twin Towers were beautiful and unique buildings with pretty view. Inside of them it looks magnificent and spacious. Why don’t rebuild?

I had seen this amazing city through watching many movies. I was absolutely devastated and sad when 9-11 happened. I remember watching on tv back in New Zealand crying and thinking WHY?? Terrorism is something which makes no sense to me. I dreamed of coming to your gorgeous city for years and years and always wanted to go to the lookout at the top of the towers. Freedom tower is an insult to all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. “Reflecting Absence” is an awful, impratical memorial which resembles two massive toilets. Thank God there are people like Ken Gardner out there who are dedicated to see those towers rise, that breaktaking observation deck return overlooking the best city on earth and the lights of the twin towers to brighten the spirits of the world, and to dim the lights of cowards like Osama bin Laden.
I live in Canada but I hear and feel the pain of every New Yorker all the way over here! I’m sorry if anyone dissagrees but I think that to build anything less then a memoral and or re-build the Twin Towers is an insult. My family and I were in New York for a week to take in three baseball games. I was twelve when we decided to go to the World Trade Center for lunch. I convinced my father to take me to the open observation deck as well, on Saturday the eleventh, 8/11.
We returned to my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and within weeks, 9/11 was upon us. I was woken up by my parents and told the news. By the time school began the WTC was no more, it was 8:28 MT. I will never forget 9/11. We won’t forget 9/11. So why should the government and these developers forget the twin towers? Bring WTC back to NYC.

I visited New York on 2008. Obviously, I was late. A very important part of New York was missing. Please, return New York’s original Skyline.
