Rebuilding the Twin Towers, a newer and technologically more advanced version, with the same appearance would send the strongest message to the World that the World citizens will not allow terriorists to destroy symbols of freedom and commerce among the various nations.
5 years later and the greatest city in the world can’t even rebuild the gaping hole in the financial district. As a result, we constantly have to be reminded of 9/11 every time we look at downtown manhattan. To me, that is the greatest tragedy of the post 9/11 world because it’s the terorists imprint on America. Pataki has been a joke since Guliani left office and has cost the city millions of dollars paying off unions,architects, engineers, etc. for a bunch of disgraceful building designs..
Nothing would make me prouder as an American to see the Twin Towers rise again. And nothing would poke a stick in the eye of the enemy of freedom deeper than rebuilding of WTC bigger and better that it was!
The attack on the Twin Towers was an attack on all of America, and all of us have a stake in seing them rebuilt. I am willing for all of America to bear the cost.
To not rebuild the towers would show the terrorists and the rest of the world that we are afraid of them. God bless America, God Bless NYC and REBUILD!!!

same square footage as the original towers combined, even more grand.
I feel that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt as they were, except with a couple very minor modifications: First, stronger, with thicker bolts on floor supports, better fireproofing, and next, with one extra floor each.(this to taunt the terrorists – ha ha screw you!!!

I think that rebuilding the twin towers in all their glory would be the best option for the WTC site. I’m in NYC at least once every year for business and always remember the twin towers standing proudly in the New York City skyline. To rebuild the towers is to stand up against terrorism and the terrorists that took those buildings down and took with them the lives of our loved ones. The freedom tower plan is ridiculous. I hope that our efforts to rebuild the towers will be successful.
