At first I figured, don’t rebuild them if you don’t need the office space. But I’ve come to see that sometimes, symbols matter. If we wanted to take down the towers, I wouldn’t care. But we can’t let THEM get away with it.
The “Freedom Tower” will be 1776 feet tall. Wow! What a message that will send to the terrorists! And the very name “Freedome Tower” as well. Bullcrap. Terrorists don’t care, and the “message” will be lost on them.
The one thing that will send them a message will be a few years after 9/11 the Twin Towers are back up again EXTACTLY AS THEY STOOD BEFORE. Now that’s a “message.”
My wife is a native New Yorker. We watched them fall on CNN. No words can discribe the horror on her face. The pain that I could see. If we don’t rebuild them as they were, the terrorist win. We can’t allow that to happen.
Please rebuild them, stronger and taller, as we americans should also stand against these terrorists, stronger and taller.
If the USA’s sometimes lumbering Federal Government can do the absolutely correct thing with the Pentagon, with the first rebuilt part being occupied in less than ONE YEAR, and with the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania, there is no reason at all why New York’s state and city leaders can’t do likewise with the World Trade Center. The time has long since passed for them to get off of their egos and do that right thing. PUT THE TOWERS BACK! NYC, NYS, the USA and the World all need

9/11 was a horrible day. I am an AMERICAN from FL. I believe that Building a sad ass looking building like the Freedom tower and museum shows that we have been defeated. I am a proud American and would love nothing more than to see those buildings stand again, but one floor higher… I think that idea is great, showing that not only did we bounce back, but we returned higher than before… Rebuild those towers!!!!… Why is it so difficult for people to understand that thats what we want!!!!…

I am so angry that the twin towers are not already being rebuilt I don’t know what to do. The half way effort that is being made is unacceptable. Let’s show the world what we can do and build the two most magnificent building ever seen.

Chicagoan here, If the freedom tower is built, they show the terrorists we can be defeated. We should rebuild the Twin towers a few floors taller, improve the design, and put up a memorial for the people who died at ground zero in the new buildings. Whats taking them so long, the half way effort that is being made is unacceptable, this is the world trade center we’re talking about. The NYC skyline will never be the same without them. REBUILD REBUILD!!

It should be noted that anything less than rebuilding the towers and including footprint memorials should be considered a total terrorist victory.
