A memorial to the dead is appropriate at the site. But the entire site should not be a memorial to death. The terrorists tried to kill our country, but they failed. Nothing would show their failure more than rebuilding the towers again. America is not defeated. Rebuild!
I would very much like to see the twin towers rebuilt just as they were before the attack. I can’t remember what the new design looks like, but I do remember thinking that I didn’t care for any of the designs put forth.
They don’t have to occupy the same exact places as the original towers, but they MUST be rebuilt just as they were. Doing anything else is a victory for those that destroyed them.
I love new designs and symbolic concepts and ideas.
However, even with all the new “tower”s that have come about and are being planned… rebuilding the Twin Towers is by far the most original, symbolic, moving and doing double duty as a devastator of terror, incredible proposal I have yet to hear.
Build ’em back!

i think it is very inportant to sighn this what ever it is to showthat we care and that we dont stay on the pass and show we care that thereis twin towers but infors the seceraty in and on the plans so this does not apen again so soghn for all the people that died
Rebuilding structures on the site will at least prevent leftists from creating some nauseating multicultural agitprop having nothing to do with the historical significance of the place.
I was born in Brooklyn and lived in Manhattan for years. Now live in St. Louis and have always thought that rebuilding was the best response to this tragedy.
I’m afraid of heights but my daughter got me on the outside observation deck the year before the tragedy. I would like her to be able to take her daughter there and tell the story of how the towers that fell were rebuilt by tenacious, brave Americans.
Build WTC back just as it was before the attacks. A phoenix should rise, not a memorial. Memorials can be nearby, but the hole that remains in Manhattan’s skyline is a national tragedy. The “hole” is a living symbol that we Americans are divided and choose self pity, guilt, and fear over national mission, strength, and resolve.
Memorials can be constructed when the war is won. WTC should be rebuilt now! No memorials should be erected if we cut and run. A nation that won’t defend itself does not remember anything. All lost will die in vain. Those espousing “cut and run” or “redeploy” have already forgotten 9/11, therefore, there is no need for a memorial until victory is securely in hand.
The Twin Towers should be re-built ONE story taller, but otherwise identical in outward appearance to the original.
Leave a courtyard memorial notched out on the ground floor, with a small portion of the original “Ground Zero” material on display.
Our nations needs a demonstration of our resolve that we were not and will not be deterred from our mission as the symbol of hope and achievement on this planet.
We must rebuild bigger and better to show the world that we will always come back better than before. We need to build to honor those who lives were taken. We need to build to fill the void in the skyline and in every American’s heart. We are builders – great builders. Great builders started this country and great builders have kept it growing greater over the years. We are obligated to all those Americans before us and all Americans to come to build and rebuild when necessary.
i wanted to see the towers ever since i was a child. i got my chance to see new york for the first time in june 2006. unfortunately it was too late as the iconic buildings were already destroyed!!! its time to rebuild the skyline to its iconic state!!!the freedom tower is nice but its not the twin towers the america grew to love!!
America should never forget what happened September 11th 2001. America should resolve to rebuild the World Trade Center 1 and 2. Only then will our enemies know their defeat. Anything less is allowing terrorists at least some victory knowing that they were able to change one of America’s great landmarks forever.
The Twin Towers stood as colossal symbols of New York and America: ambitious, fearless, unapologetic. Everyone, even our enemies, knew what the towers meant. That’s why they’re gone.
Will we replace these glorious icons with something smaller and worse? The lofty rhetoric surrounding the new plan far outstrips its mediocrity: the rhetoric is to pacify those who love the US, while the pathetic design is to demonstrate our newfound humility.
Please build the WTC just like it was…… only stronger …. why change it ? We yearn to see the towers in the skyline once again.

I believe rebuliding of the towers would show to others that we are strong united in remember our fallen and as a country.

Rebuild provided American Corporations and Private Enterprise foot the bill.
