If we don’t rebuild, we allow Al Qaida to derive strength from their victory. We must show those criminals that the American spirit will never be broken, just as Israel must do the same. The only true memorial to those lost on 9-11 is to their deaths weren’t in vain.
I think that the whole world is watching to see what we replace the twin towers with. Ideally, we would replace the towers with a bigger, taller, better structure than we had before. It would be filled with scores of successful, creative, diverse, hard-working Americans who fearlessly go to work there every day. That would be a huge “in your face” to the terrorists who underestimate the American resolve and spirit.
We, the undersigned, share the belief that nothing could be more inspiring to our people, or disheartening to our enemies, than Twin Towers, at least as tall as before in every respect, soaring above Ground Zero.
We believe that the devastation of September 11, 2001 clouded the picture long after the rubble was cleared away and that a thorough public examination of the rebuilding option is overdue and now required before proceeding on an unalterable course.
I think this will send a very strong message to the world that Americans, even when dealt a blow that is devastating, pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and rebuild their strength and character back.. nothing and no one will defeat the faith, glory, honor, courage and strength of the United States of America.
Our country and our people must stand against the injustice of the victimization caused by foreign despots and “want to be” dictators of any and every stripe. We also must protect our country from our internal enemies that deny our history and the American dream that all people should be free to pursue their destinies. We should continue to stand for TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY and teach it to our children.
I lived and worked in TriBeCa during the time of the attacks, and watched the buildings fall from N. Moore St in front of the Travelers Building. I want to see the Towers rebuilt as they were — I grew up looking at them, and I don’t want my last memory of them to be their collapse.
The Twin Towers were just more than 1360 foot office symbols of the United States. They were the spark of an unforgettable race to the top with
super talls coming up everywhere around the world. The twins where a proud symbol showing the whole world our strength. They were one of the only buildings that let you have access to the rooftop and make you feel like your on top of the world. The best feeling ever.
I had never been to New York City before 9/11 but I wished I had that great opportunity to see such an amazing skyline. When I was little I always wanted to go to NYC in the 1990’s. When I first saw pictures of NYC the first part I noticed was lower Manhattan and the first buildings were the twin towers. I thought of lower Manhattan as a big glamorous castle with the twins being their watchtowers or a prince’s crown situated perfectly.
I saw the rest of New York and I was amazed by it. I got the chance to twice there in 2004 and two years later but I just wasn’t the same. New Yorkers wants their castle back, not a bunker! New York needs a crown, not a helmet.
I do personally find the freedom tower an insult and the same for the world trade center memorial. The ‘Feardom’ tower just symbolizes that we are still afraid plus pataki took away Mr. Silverstein’s chances of reviving a great city and putting 3 cool looking buildings which would be better elsewhere to a spot where it would make it look crowded.
September 11th, 2001 was the worst day In US history and the last thing the governors and politicians should be doing is repressing the memories by just changing the skyline forever and tell everyone it’s called ”moving on.” …It’s not!

I think rebuilding the towers would show those terroist that we are not scared and we don’t get pushed around. We lost a lot of good men and women and I think it would be a good memorial to put back in honor of them. My prayers go out to the families and friends that lost loved ones on that sad day. God bless america.
New York is not Shanghai, thus, New York’s skyline should not be comprised of modern glasswork architecture. New York’s skyscrapers are all large, strong, and powerful, freedom tower is not. Why replace what worked with something else? Put newer, stronger, better twin towers there, after all. What else can take back that strength other than better twin towers?
Rebuilding the towers will erase the “victory” Radical Islam believes it has achieved in NYC.
Ask Americans, would they give $100 to build a “Freedom Tower” or other memorial. You may get some takers. Ask Americans if they would contribute to rebuilding the towers taller, stronger and better than they were. Most will likely answer, “How much can I give?”
The Twin Towers are symbols of the American dream that should be rebuilt for our future generations. To do anything else would be a grave injustice and would tarnish the American image to the world at large. America needs the Twin Towers for they symbolize the very essence of what our great nation stands for-freedom and prosperity for all. We should expect nothing less than to rebuild the Twin Towers. Let them be a symbol to the world as the light on a hill shining into darkness.
What do you do when you fall? You get back up again. As touching as a memorial is, New York should not hang its head in pain and shame forever. Rebuilding the Twin Towers will testify to the world the resilience of New Yorkers and America.
If the towers are rebuilt, the terrorists will have died for nothing. Nothing we could do could be a better response than to tell the forces of terror that America will simply not be affected by them. Rebuild the towers, just as they were, but one floor taller. Devote the top floor of both buildings to 9/11 memorial galleries.

Let’s do it right for those whose lives were lost. Nothing less than the same thing or bigger!
Rebuilding the towers and adding an additional floor is the ONLY correct reply to the attack by islamo-fascists. Anything else is capitulation.

The new building should be more magnificient and breathtaking than the previous twin towers. It is un-american to accept anything less!
Thanks for starting this. I’m sending this link to several others who also want the Twin Towers restored as they were.
I am for this cause full force!!
Rebuilding the “Twin Towers” would be the right way to push it down the terrorists throats… Go America…
Three words: Get. To. Work.
yes, i want them back, but there must be a memorial display that plays audio, visual, still picturs, so that it is NEVER FORGOTTEN

The grandest way to deny the Jihadi’s any kind of a victory is to rebuild the towers, bigger, better and bolder.
Freedom Tower is an abomonation, long live the Twin Towers!!!

God Bless the USA!
Rebuild our country—this will be so much better than any other way to show our love and pride in our country—go Towers

Rebuild it. Two towers, bigger and better. In the faces of those animals.
The twin towers need to be taller than before. We Americans build UP not DOWN!
I BELIEVE THE NEW TOWERS SHOULD BE PAINTED RED WHITE AND BLUE AND ON TOP AND FINGER FLIPPING OFF BIN LADEN JUST TO SHOW DEFIANCE
