Rebuild the Twin Towers. Exactly how they were. It should not matter how much it costs. Take it from our taxes whatever. We are America. Proud. We need to think of all the lives lost. Re-build the Twin Towers. The Freedom Tower/bin Laden monument celebrates death. Twin Towers would celebrate life, as they would simply “regrow.” So it is with NYC. So it is with all life save those individual personlities that perished there. Honor those who cannot be replaced with what can: new Twin Towers. Don’t let Al Queda redisign NYC. Building the Freedom Tower is a cowardly act, and it’s shame would stand for generations as a beacon of fear. Disgusting.
I would really like to see the Trade towers rebuilt. We owe it to the city of New York and WTC victims. I can’t think of a better anti terrorist statement than to rebuild the towers.
It has been almost 5 years since this horrific, tragic, heart-wrenching. life-changing disaster. My heart, my soul will never forget ALL who perished. Even though I didn’t personally know one person, they still were my brothers and sisters, who gave their life unwillingly, to wake the rest of us up! God bless all those who perished and all the hurting souls that they left behind. God bless our great nation! Peace.
This is the only memorial that is appropriate for those who died that day. I know if you could ask any one of those who gave their lives on that day whether we should rebuild the towers or put up a memorial, they would choose towers. I also have a feeling that if you could ask those who died on 9/11 what action the US should have taken in retribution, the answer they would want to hear is: total destruction of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Saudia Arabia……..you get the picture.
Preserve the NYC skyline by rebuilding the two towers. Show the world, no mater what they do to us, we Americans will rebuild. I believe the greatest insult to Usama Bin Laden would be rebuild the two towers.
I am guilty of just now looking up and researching plans on the new WTC, due in part to the release of the movie. I have been interested and captivated by the subject for years and the last time I checked the plans were still under developement. Imagine my surprise to see that joke they call Freedom Tower…who approved that ugly sh*t? Where’s the other one? What kind of airheads thought that replacing the most breathtaking structures I had ever seen, with a single building? We need the twins.
Rebuild them one floor taller. On the top floor of one, a memorial for the victims of 9/11. On the top floor of the other, a memorial for our troops who have fought since 9/11.
New York City should sell the site to Donald Trump and extend every courtesy he needs to build the WTC according to his design. There would be no greater example of the American spirit than to put this project in the hands of one of history’s greatest capitalists.
Even if the Towers themselves and lower Manhattan meant nothing to me personally (they did), I’d see rebuilding as a moral duty.
As a frequent visitor over the years and former resident of Hoboken, I’d love to return someday to a restored lower Manhattan that is symbolic of our (yet to be secured) triumph over global Islamist terror.
Trash the Lauder/Pataki/Libeskind monstrosity of partronage. A window to history is open, rebuild the Towers, show the American “can do” spirit, emerge from this “fear” and “impotence” of terror. Brave men & women gave their lives trying to save these buildings.
