My idea for a memorial, rebuild the towers to the original if not larger size. And on the floors where the planes hit have it compleatly empty except for the names of all who have died on the walls simular to the vietnam memorial.
Rebuild the towers. I remember stopping in at a cafe for my morning coffee on the morning of 911 and seeing burning skyscrapers on the TV. The only change I would make to the towers is to put the escape stairwells on the four corners, not in the middle of the buildings. Also make the stairwells bigger so more people can go down at the same time. A plaque should be in the lobby of both buildings with the names of every person who died in that building on 911. Oh, and then lets really go to war.
I must say, the Freedom Towers is somewhat a good idea, but we need the actual towers back. Bush is fighting (or so called) fighting terrorism so it won’t happen again and what is 16 acres of these magnificent towers (and their large sizes) going to do. Re-build the towers the way they were if I may say so.
This is a no-brainer. Build it right back up. Only a nation of cowards would do otherwise. And make it at least one foot taller. And eff france, the isslamist collaborators.
Nothing less than complete restoration of the Twin Towers will suffice. Any sort of memorial that doesn’t do anything but remind us without restoring at least part of what was lost is meaningless.
Build either one huge tower, or two smaller but still large towers. America can show it’s defiance to terrorism by replacing that which was lost by something wonderfull and inspiring. Build it big, and build it proud!
I don’t think America can heal properly without rebuilding a replica of the beautiful Twin Towers as they were. We have to do everything we can to wipe out terrorism and its effects. Let’s show the world we have the ability to restore America spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The skyline of lower Manhattan will not be the same without the soaring towers. The best memorial we can give to those who lost their lives or were injured that horrible day is to rebuild those towers.
No design will be able to restore NYC to it’s beauty and glory but the reconstruction of the original twin tower design with the additin of a few floors to demonstrate this nation will not yield to terrorism and grow stronger from the event of 9/11.
My buddy Zak had the window of his car broken out and his radio stolen. He had replaced both by noon and put the car in the same spot. I asked him why and he taught me something powerful… he wanted the perpetrator to see his resolve. Wanted the criminal to know that they had no power, that evil has no power over determination. Americans show thier resolve every day they go to work in New York unafraid and we need to show those terrorists that they will never have an impact on us.
The memorial to 9-11 is not just a memorial to New York, but to all of America. I also believe that the people of New York should be able to vote on the issue of how the memorial should be built. It should not be determined by an elitest few. Personally, I think they should also make the towers even bigger than before.
It is a grave injustice to the people who died, as well as the survivors and all Americans, to not rebuild these towers. To not do so means that this evil has won. ‘Nuff said
Nothing at all could be a more sincere tribute to those lost!…Osama, your bones will be in the cornerstone! Iran, your blood will bind the mortar. Israel, build a temple on site and revel in your glory! Death to islamic fascists.
It defies logic not to rebuild. The twin towers issue is emblematic of what is happening in our country in general: failure to enforce immigration law; no drilling for oil in ANWR; fear of nuclear power generation; whining by Katrina “victims” in New Orleans; …………
Keep up the good work!

Build ’em back!

Rebuild the twin towers just as before….but make them one floor taller.
Put ’em back. I’ll support the firms that move in with my business and cash.
Prove to those who cannot even begin to build such things (but can only destroy them) that we can, and we will, rebuild the towers.
Rebuild it!

send them a message; THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN TAKE DOWN WE CAN’T REBUILD
BASEBALL, APPLE PIE, AND THE WORLD TRADE CENTER…
BUILD THEM THE SAME AS THEY WERE … BUT TALLER
FORT LAUDERDALE FLORIDA
let show Al quaida What being Americans are all about and replace the twin towers brick for brick.
The towers should resemble the exact replica of what 19 islamo-faciasts destroyed on 9/11.
They were perfect they way they were.

For the love of GOD, rebuild the Twin Towers.

Rebuilding the Towers would be the greatest Memorial to the HEROs and victims of 9/11.
I think the towers should be rebuilt, stronger, but the same design, and taller. As a gesture of defiance to the animals who destroyed the buildings.
