Why let them win!? Put back what was lost… make it right. There is only one way to do it and that is not by creating something new and meaningless. It is by putting back what was taken.
I think it would be wonderful if there would be a new set of twin towers designed and constcuted replacing the first set in honor and memory of those lives lost from the Sept. 11th tragedy. The twin towers represented all that America is about, with a contiued alliance involving others countries our continued willingness to do international business.
My pleasure to support this cause,

By rebuilding the towers the way they were,we will show the terrorists that we cannot be intimidated, what they destroy we can replace. We will show them that we are a strong nation and that we stand together, for each other. Thank you for what you are doing.
The only way to truly answer terrorism is to be unafraid of it. The way to show that we aren’t cowed is to rebuild what was taken away from us. Rebuilding a stylistic representation of the original (using modern technologies to improve safety and utility of the building beyond the original) honors the spirit of those lost, and tells those responsible for the attacks that we cannot be broken. Let’s rebuild, and then move on. Terrorism is only a threat for as long as we keep talking about it.
From the beginning I have felt that the towers needed to be rebuilt. The only differences being a safer construction, more fire retardant ability, more stairways and on every floor the names of the people who worked on those floors that didn’t make it out alive. On a wall between the two buildings should be the names of all the firefighters, police, ems and all the others who died that day.
I pray the committee remembers that America doesn’t run, cower or bow down in front of ANYBODY!!
I believe the towers should be replaced exactly the way they were, otherwise the terrorist have won. They will believe that they can strike us anywhere and we will be afraid to fix things back the way they were to begin with. I know this will be a hard task but it should be done. We did reshape or rebuild the Pentagon a different way and it was struck also.
Send a message to the world. Show that Americans will not cower, will not be intimidated, will not bow down, and will never give up. Please do the right thing.
a lots of peoples died on 911.their death should not died
in vain.united we stand in american even when death faced

stand side by side.we are strong nation.the twin towers

I guess that I feel I maybe don’t have the right to vote on whether the Towers should be rebuilt since I don’t live in New York but I would love to be able to see them again in the skyline. I live in the midwest but I think the day the Towers fell, everyone in the world felt like they were New Yorkers. I sincerely hope we can rebuild them and it will be an “In your face” sort of sign to the terrorists that we can rebuild bigger, better, stronger. Good luck to the Twin Towers Alliance.
Immediately after the 9/11 massacre, I have been talking it up in the area of Worcester, Massachusetts to rebuild the Twin Towers, stronger, safer (fire proof), similar appearance. To do anything else is to say “They’ve won. We’ve lost.”
The WTC Towers were a potent symbol of American pride and audacity. Rebuilding them as they were, as they should be, reaffirms America’s position as the global superpower.
If the Washington Monument had been struck, we would have rebuilt it already. Likewise, if Lady Liberty had been brought down, fresh steel and giant cranes would have been hard at work until She stood proudly undamaged once more.
We have the tools, the craft, and the might. Show that we have the will and courage to rebuild.
No living person will ever get over 9/11, BUT, if we get OUR TOWERS BACK, we will at least be able to GO ON! I did not lose anyone I knew on 9/11. However, I, and MANY MANY people (worldwide) lost so much. I still think of it, DAILY, when I see a jet fly over my skyline. ETC.
I fear,in my heart, that WE, meaning “OUR CAUSE” will lose. An absurd “thing” might be erected.
WE NEED OUR TOWERS BACK! I Hope our VOICES WILL BE HEARD! We need to BOMBARD THE MEDIA with our pleas!
I think that we should honor those who were lost, and make the Towers the Towers once again! We need to let those coward terrorists know that we stand tall, and will not be shaken, and that those who died on that tragic day will always be remembered!
Enough fretting and bellyaching. We are Americans, Let’s show our resolve and defiance to the terorists as we show our pride and respect for those lost by honoring them with a better and taller pair of towers. We are strong not faint of heart. I do not want to be embarrassed when I visit the site, I want to stand tall and be able to say that we have overcome and continue to press forward.
When watching reruns of pre 09/11/2001 NYC based TV shows or movies, I search to catch a glimps of the twin towers because it’s just expected to see them and nothing less belongs there.
I am so with you on rebuilding the Twin Towers because the design they want to use now looks like a hypodermic needle, which would remind people of a drug users. I hope your idea wins out…Good Luck!
Those souls lost on 9/11, their survivors, and our nation needs the rebuilding of the towers as a momentous stage in the healing process and for the determined message it will send to the world.
The “Freedom Tower” and the proposed surrounding eyesores will be the laughingstock of New York if they’re built. Build the Twin Towers again, but build them even taller, stronger, and visually bolder than they were before. In that way, they’ll represent the true spirit of America. And why not find an American architect to do the job? Surely those firms in London and Japan aren’t the only ones capable of designing a skyscraper.
I was born on July 4th 1985. I am one who believes strongly in Freedom and Independence. And, not to bow down before anyone who threatens you. Fight or Flight- I’d rather stand my ground and Fight. Then to bow down and let them take over. I want the Twin Towers rebuilt as they were before the attack. DON’T GIVE THE TERRORIST WHAT THEY WANT!!! Put the New York skyline back the way it was!
The twin towers were so simple in design and yet so magestic and beautiful. They stood so proudly at the gateway to our country, declaring to the world that we are a nation of freedom and free enterprise and ingenuity. Saying to the world that we are a nation of workers. We love to work and we celebrate our accomplishments with our beautiful skylines. We need to declare to the world that we will not be defeated and we will never stop celebrating who we are.
The only right thing to do is to rebuild the the Twin Towers. That would be the best memorial to the victims of 9/11 who died in World Trade Centers. Anything less would be a tragedy and a victory for the Islamic Fascist across the world. It would show the world and more importantly the Islamic Extremist that America will never cower and that the American spirt will never die.
Why let them win!? Put back what was lost… make it right. There is only one way to do it and that is not by creating something new and meaningless. It is by putting back what was taken.
YES REBUILD THE TOWERS , DONT LET THEM WIN!!!

I agree with you folks. Its time to stop these meaningless designs and return the NY skyline to what is was before 9-11. I hope you win!
I agree – no better answer to the terrorists exists than to rebuild what once was – stronger and better than before.

my heart goes out to all the famlies and some memorial needs to be put up for the people who lost their lives on 9/11.
Please do the right thing. Rebuild the towers

Time to quit messing around. Rebuild now.

Build them higher!!!!
REBUILD The towers the way they were. If we change in anyway, the evil wins. We must move on without fear, and trust in GOD!!
GO FOR IT!!!
