I’m not a fan of Trump but he had the right idea. We need the towers back. More importantly, we also need a memorial for those who lost their lives and the pain of their loved ones.
It’s high time that new Twin Towers emulating the original 70s classic Twin Towers or ‘World Trade Center 2’ are constructed on EXACTLY THE SAME SPOT! At almost 1/2 decade removed from the disaster!.. Now where are those magnificent towers?
The greatest monument to the murdered asnd clearest answer to our enemies is to rebuild the object of their hatred. We as a people will not forgive killers nor forgot those we lost. With re-building our response is clear – “we still exist” and wil
I will say here what I said in my editorial in 2001: if we don’t put the Twin Towers back where they were, the way they were (with a memorial, of course)–then we are telling the terrorists who did this–“you won”. Anything less is a shame.
As a former New Yorker, born and raised in New York, it is my undeniable and solid will that the symbol of New York be restored on its proper location. Not only shall we rebuild, but restore the greatness that we lost.
I lost a friend from the Foran High School class of 1980, Mr.Michael Miller. He was always so proud, to tell everyone that he worked in the Twin Towers! The BEST memorial to him, and all of the others lost on 9/11, is to PUT BACK what Osama Bin Laden TOOK AWAY from New York City! NO OTHER MEMORIAL WILL DO! In the past five years, Gov.Pataki and his Port authority and the LMDC have accomplished NOTHING at ground zero! The Empire State building was constructed in one year! They were, and still are, loved and missed by many New Yorkers. If you had two of your front teeth knocked out, would you replace one tooth or both? Enough is Enough already! Make New York, New York Again! Rebuild our Twin Towers!
Anything less then rebuilding is cowering to the terrorists. America is not afraid and will not let that which is important to us be taken away. Imagine the strength we would show to the world if we rebuilding them 10 feet taller.
I’ve been a supporter of rebuilding the towers since hearing the idea on NPR three years ago. Nothing else I’ve seen does anything but make me wince. Re-build the Towers. Confidence and courage will make it work.
The Twins NEED to be set back in place and not some HALF BAKED design that has been presented. Is it not obvious,in ANY RESPECT, that the Twin Towers NEED to be an IN YOUR FACE symbol to those who THINK they won? WAKE UP,PEOPLE of America!
I want to return someday and take photo’s from the top of the towers and compare them to the old towers. This will be my reminder that we can take all the violence that is aimed at us. And we will rebuild and continue on. Hatred will NOT stop us.
I grew up in the shadows of the towers on S.I.and in high school looking out the window at lower manhattan at the greatest skyline of America and N.Y.C…. they need to be rebuilt.
Rebuild the towers, now! Mind you, not to their former height, but to 2001 ft., in recognition of the year they were destroyed. We have the technology to build this structure as the tallest in the world, and no reason not to. They should once again stand as a monument to what their founder (Minoru Yamasaki) intended. Scrap the “Libeskind” plan entirely; he’s a degenerative psychopath who’s only claim to fame is the construction of a Holocaust memorial, reflective of his “death” mentali
The Twin Towers MUST be rebuilt. As long as they are not standing tall in New York City, the terrorists have won, make no mistake about it. We must defeat them by bringing the towers back.
Restore the towers and revitalize manhattan! It’s the only logical solution.

Please!

I believe the towers should be rebuilt. If the Statue of Liberty had been destroyed, we would have rebuilt that, so why not the towers?

Check out the story of the government’s betrayal of its 1990s proposal for a Mall like park along the South Capitol Street corridor.

Build it. Let America sing again!
Just build them!

It is the right thing to do… the only thing…
This would be the best memorial for all who were lost to the evils of this world.
May God bless those who lost loved ones.
Build em back! Stronger and better than ever.
Lets get these towers back up! 5 years is to long for terrorists to say “look at that empty skyline. We did that!”
