  1. I can hardly recognize New York City without the World Trade Center towers. While several buildings like the Chrysler building and the Empire State Building identify the city, the twin towers are the signature of a beautiful city and skyline.

  3. The empty space where the towers stood is a powerful recruitment poster for the terrorists. It disgraces this great nation that we’ve allowed them this for nearly 5 years. Restore the towers now!

  4. I wanted to pay respect to the victims and their families that lost their lives on the horrible day. I feel that rebuilding the Towers will really help with the healing process, and the skyline will look normal again. God Bless:)

  7. It would be a sin to build something other than the twin towers. The world must see that The United States of America cannot be pushed around. If we are knocked down, we get up and do it better the next time.

  8. Lemme ask this question: if the White House was completely destroyed in the attack, whould we be quibbling about a replacement that’s less than the original?

Of course not. Rebuild’em even bigger than before.

  9. Nothing less than full rebuilding of the Twin Towers will tell the world that we might be hurt, BUT WE CAN’T BE BROKEN! We should make sure the new Twin Towers are the tallest buildings in the world. Period. By a lot.

  10. Do the right thing, Mayor Bloomberg, and bring back the Twin Towers! DC rebuilt the Pentagon, right? Our war in Iraq doesn’t send the message to terrorists that we are strong–rebuilding the WTC better than ever will!

  12. Remember the “broken window” syndrome?? Fix it right away or more will be broken. The dis-couraging lesson the terrorists need to learn is that when they destroy something, it comes back ‘bigger and badder’ than before. Destruction = self defeat.
