America deserves replacement towers. By not rebuilding something just as spectacular at ground zero, I feel we are accepting defeat. That’s not what Americans are. We look fear in the face and prove to the world the great things we can accomplish.
If we dont build the towers back the way they were, the terrerits have won.In my opinion,We should build them back EXACTLY as they were, and build them 10 stories higher than before.
Yes, I do believe the towers should be replaced in their form…maybe taller. Not only did they define NYC and the US but we shouldnt let the terrorist…we should raise up two new towers and say the hell with yall…
I have never returned to the former site of the towers because for me, more than anything else, the towers defined New York to me. When the towers are rebuilt, I will return as will New York to all its former glory.
Years later our nation is still grieving, still mourning, and still recovering. And yet I can’t help think of the road ahead, the long arduous battle we are fighting and will be fighting for a long time. A battle not against a Nation, but against a faceless enemy. One that we have to identify not by nationality, race, or uniform. But by Ideology. How can we here at home, those of us who cannot strike out, show such an enemy our defiance and our resolve to see this through? How can we show that this will not be forgotten in six years or six decades? What can “We the people” do to show our unity is not just a result of momentary horror but a deep-rooted, unshakable, terrible resolve? REBUILD THEM.
Rebuild them taller and bigger. They should be the tallest, grandest structure American engineering can conceive of. Built by Americans of all nationalities, races, and religions. Built out of American Steel, American glass, and American sweat. Put at their apex a beacon that can be seen seemingly forever. A beacon of Defiance that all Americans can point to when their resolve seems to wane with the weight of time. Rebuild it as a reminder to those who will guard Democracy after our generation has “shuffled off this mortal coil”. A monument that screams out to each of us that what we have here is greater than the cost of a couple of skyscrapers, and cannot be stopped by the killing of innocent people. Rebuild them so these future guardians of democracy will always know that the sacrifice those souls made was just another in a long line of payments made by the generations preceding them for our freedom. Rebuild them to remind them as they grow that they too, may have to pay to keep this country free.
Rebuild them to show our faceless enemy that we will not stop, we will not grow weary, we will not be deterred, we will not cease to hunt them until the very thought of terrorist ideology is unthinkable by even the most radical sect of any religion or country. I suggest a name that reminds us not of the many dead, nor of the terrible act that occurred there. Instead I believe it should reflect the effect it has had on our nation. The effect of unifying the nation instead of dividing it. Of new religious dialog, understanding, and tolerance. Of our deep and unmovable love for the special gift given to us over 200 years ago by the founders of this republic. Call them “The Defiance Towers” or “Unity Plaza”.
Call it anything you wish, but out of defiance, out of respect for the dead, and for the love of God and Country, build it.
As a firefighter/ems worker, and close friend to person who lost a family member,(firefighter Regan R3),And one who witness the horror of that day. Its the only way to truly honor those who lost their lifes on that day show the try meaning of America
Rbuild the towers-taller. We must not yeild to the weak among us,or our enemies here and abroad. The greatest city in the free world neesds the greatest towers in the free world. A symbol of our resolve to honor all of those who have sacrificed.
Please…….. it is my dream to see the towers rise again after all that has taken place. I watched them go up starting in 68 and I feel that NY will never be Ny without the original skyline. Build th Freedom tower on another site.
I don’t know if I had already signed, but I’m so supportive of this effort I’m signing this again. The twin towers were an American symbol and it’s reconstruction will truly be a slap in the face of those cowardly terrorists.
The best way to honor the Americans who lost their life and their love ones is to build the towers mightier and stronger than they were the on 9/10/01….
I have thought from day 1 that the towers should be rebuilt identical but stronger, thats the only way to restore the skyline and pride to what it once was.
I like Donald Trump’s idea of building them exactly as they were PLUS ONE STORY. Nothing can send a better message to all involved on 9/11 than us rebuilding the towers and our skyline and ADDING one floor.
I’m sure the ‘Freedom Tower’ would look nice when built, but build it somewhere else. The towers need to be rebuilt as they were, or only slightly taller.
I saw them when they were being built the 1st time. I saw them after they were destroyed. I want to see them bulit again, because in America WE DO NOT GIVE UP!!!
The most awesome buildings in the world need to rise again. The terrorists can not take the towers from us. I am a SSGT in the U.S. Marines serving in Iraq on my second tour. Most of us over here would love to see the towers rise again!!!!!
I agree to rebuild the towers. They were not just “buildings” but American Icons that should not only withstand time but should be rebuilt with the mindset of thumbing our noses at the terrorists who cost many innocent Americans their lives.
Nothing can be more sacred than the lives of the people. No one has the right to take that away from us ! Let Freedom Ring, Rebuild the Towers the way they were, but stronger than before !

Rebuild starting now in their memory and to the the memory of all those who have lost thier lives defending our freedom.
Bring these iconic buidings back. It’s not too late!!
We should re-build. Only then, do we rebuild America.

I miss those towers, they should rebuild them again. No Freedom tower!

We need to show people that no matter what you do we will rebuild.
It would be a great memorial to many people in many ways to rebuild the towers.
