The audacity of anyone to even consider building anything else in that space is sickening. The only thing that should go there should be exact and matching towers of The World Trade Center, exactly as Minoru Yamasaki envisioned, designed and built them.
ANYTHING ELSE IS LESS. And THAT is NOT acceptable.
Screw these zealots and their jihad. REBUILD OUR TOWERS AS THEY WERE!
“I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York’s skyline. The sky over New York and the will of man made visible. I feel that if a war came to threaten this, I would like to throw myself into space, over the city, and protect these buildings with my body.”
When the towers fell, I wondered how long it would be before bigger and stronger ones were rebuilt. It made me sick when I saw the cowardly replacement for the Twin Towers. My only suggestion is to put a giant “middle finger” one the new towers and make sure it is aimed towards the Middle East.
Thank you for your efforts.
Rebuilding the trade center as it was will be a Victory for America. The so called Freedom tower is Defeat!!! If the Libs won’t let us win in Iraq, at least let us win here at home.
The New York City skyline without our Twin Towers is like and old woman who is missing her front teeth. Every time I see a movie or TV show with the NYC skyline in it, I stop to look to see if I can get one more glimpse of the Twin Towers “before.” The post-9/11 programs make me feel empty seeing they are not there. I grieve and still do for the lost souls that day, for their families and friends, for their coworkers who survived. Rebuild our towers and you will restore more than just two buildings.
The World Trade Center defined the NYC skyline in the same way the Empire State Building has for decades. We cannot allow the Bin Ladens of the world to change our nation, our cities, our homes.
Rebuild them as they were!!! They were, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful, austere structures ever built. I dont want a twisty, glassy tower built in place of cold, hard steel. Rebuild I say!!! God Bless!!!
When I see New York on the t.v. I have a hard time relizeing it’s New York without the twin towers. So I know it would do America’s hearts a lot of good to have back a piece of what those people tried to take away from us.I think it’s time that we show them what america’s about and rebuild so they know when you knock us down we come back bigger and stronger.
I am probably the youngest person in this petition, but that does not matter. I did not loose anyone in the attacks, nor do I live in New York City but, the rebuilding of these great towers means a great deal to me. It is nearly impossible for me to explain my story or why I feel this way in 500 letters or less but I can say this……REBUILD!!!!! =)
1st alternative- Keep superblock. Should be a green complex. A new northbridge that has an outside like vesey street and an inside so if it’s a sunny day but if it’s cold or rainy you could be inside also.
2nd alternative- keep street grid but take out freedom tower and replace it with the twin towers on the old footprints.
I said this in an op-ed piece I wrote for The Norseman (West Valley College’s newspaper) right after the 9/11 attacks, and I will say it again: Rebuild the Towers! Anything less is giving in to the terrorists who destroyed the Towers on that day.
My name is Nathan Lesher, I am 14 years old, and I live in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
September 11th, though very tragic, has brought this country closer together in a way. I didn’t know anybody who was loost in the attack, but I’m sure that the rebuilding of these monumental establishments will mean a lot to those who did. Because I live in Pennsylvania, not as much changed for me than it must have for those citizens of New York, but my name on this petition will mean as much as anyone else
Rebuild the towers exactly as they were; with the same visual appearance and on the same footprints with the same surrounding buildings and Tobin Plaza. Memorials can be placed in the towers themselves…
I think that anything but rebuilding the towers would be giving into the terrorist who destroyed them in the first place. I think that any red-blooded American would agree. I think Corporate America is ruining America, the people today don’t use their voices anymore like they used to when our parents were fighting to make this country grow. To many people are afraid to say no, they just say yes, because they are afraid what someone else will say and want to be politically correct. I say to hell with political correctness speak your mind and be yourself. If we as Americans would just get together like our forefathers this would be a great country again with the respect from many others.
We need the twin towers back! without it New York isn’t going to be the same and people who wanted to see it, but can’t cause of the terrorist attacks. WE WANT THE TWIN TOWERS AGAIN!!!!!!!
Restoring the original two towers, but building them a little taller, bolder, and stronger, would show all our enemies they cannot damage America in any permanent way. If nothing else, we need to prove to ourselves that we can do this, and that we have the will to put it back in their face, for the atrocity that was perpetrated.

Rebuild the towers, at least as large, even larger than before. Let’s send the Islamic goons a unified, national message, loud and clear!
Rebuild them puppies!!!
Why did Osama’s ass cross the road?
Because we kicked it across!
They should look the same as before 9/11
We need to rebuild bigger and better!!!

Rebuild and pass on to our children what was handed down to us.
I want my towers back!

I do not particularly care if the towers are exactly the same height but I petition for their rebuilding.
Rebuild them, brick for brick, just as they once were.
Liberalism will kill you in the end. Keep The United States of America united and free.
Donald Trump agrees with this.

A very famous quote says:
” If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”
I think we’ll all remember where we were the day the Towers went down. I hope I’ll remember the day when they go back up again.
