Rebuilding the Twin Towers is the most ‘you-can’t-keep-a-good-man-down’ thing to do and, of any other plan, would have the greatest encouraging and healing power.
To send a clear message, the new Twin Towers should be just a bit taller than the first ones. For honor’s sake, they should also be somehow slightly different.
Yes, the towers MUST be rebuilt! I never forgot how magnificent they looked when I saw them on a trip in 1989. Any other tower design would be a great icon of victory for those murderers. I can see them jumping around, cheering, shooting guns in the air (barbarians!), while holding pictures of terrorist leaders side by side with pictures of the pathetic “Freedom Tower” as a symbol of our defeat. I agree: The only proper way for NYC and America to heal is to rebuild our beloved TWIN TOWERS!
I’m sick of all the politics and being p.c. Yes, there should be a memorial. But let’s also show the terrorists that they cannot defeat us. REBUILD! Even taller, stronger, safer, and better than before. I really miss those beautiful twin towers.
I believe that rebuilding the Twin Towers excactly as they were on 9-10-2001, would be the best way to tell whoever did this,SCREW YOU. To preserve the memory of those who gave their lives simply going to work, the Towers should be rebuilt and the exact opposite footprints. I also think we should put a huge antenna on top that in the right light might look like a huge middle finger. Anything else would be foolish. It’s the only way to heal.
So much gone! I feel that the best way to commemorate the World Trade Center complex and the thousands of lives lost is to rebuild the site exactly as it was, only with a monument which honors those who died in the attacks. This would send a message that nothing has changed. It would say that, no matter what, we won’t waver and cannot be shaken. It will also allow future generations to see the towers as they once were. My biggest regret is that I never got to see them in person.
The Freedom Tower is nothing more than a monument honoring Osama bin Laden and the terrorists. Rebuild the Twin Towers to honor the people killed that day.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt as they were originally, in all their glory. Anything less would be a victory for the enemy and a black mark on our great nation. We can not let them win, either by taking away great landmarks, our personal freedoms, or by altering our way of life in any way, shape, or form.
The only way to show that terrorism is useless against America is to rebuild and erase the “physical” destruction of the attacks. Why would terrorism even occur if terrorist both American and foreign knew that their actions would be pointless because we would rebuild anything they thought they could take from us. A memorial is very appropriate but if we want to build these pools as a reminder of the towers then why not just rebuild the towers as a symbol of freedom and also as a tribute.
Build them back, even bigger than before. Make them the tallest buildings in the world to show that Americans can not be stopped, and if you try, we will only come back even stronger than before.
I’m not a New Yorker but as an American I want the twin towers rebuilt! It’s a no brainer! Where are the good people of New York and why are you not demanding that the towers be restored for what they stood for? There would be no greater monument or tribute to the souls lost on 9-11 or to our military soldiers lost in battle and to the American people than to give us back the twin towers. Anything other than the twin towers is a victory for terrorism and a defeat to us Americans.
I never got the opportunity to see the Twin Towers in person, but I would love the chance. Rebuilding them proves our country can overcome, and is the only option to rebuild. We have to make the skyline look the same as it did for all those years.
My father grew up in New York City and I spent a lot of time there as a kid visiting my grandmother. I went to school in New Jersey, and went to the city on many occasions. I live in Maryland now, and we usually go to New York city every December for Christmas. I loved the Twin Towers, and feel it would be a major statement to these terrorist if we we rebuilt the towers, however long it took.
We MUST rebuild the towers, stronger than before. I visited them in the 6th grade, back in the 70’s, and what a sight! Awesome towers, unlike anything I had ever seen. You could look down from the 107th floor, face against the glass, down on tiny ants that were cars. The people were so small they were specks. The proud towers were an everlasting symbol of America, which is why they were attacked. Rebuild to stick it to the terrorists and Socialists who hate America.

Nathanaël Winston – Brussels, Belgium.
I was a New Yorker at the time, and I feel that nothing could be more fitting than to UNDO what the terrorists did.
I would like to see the twin towers rise again, bigger and better!
PISS on the terrorists,BOMB us,POISON us
SEE YA IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!

My parents went to the Twin Towers before I was born, and I would like to experience that as well.
I never saw the Twin Towers, but they look beautiful in photographs and I hope to be able to visit the top some day.

Absolutely!
I agree.
great Idea, rebuild them both exactly the same they were.
Build two towers not one. Build both of them at 1,776 feet. One tower is just not the same as two.

It is time!

Rebuild the Towers. It’s the right thing to do.
Rebuild the towers but make them BIGGER this time.
rebuild them.

Build them bigger!
If we are afraid to restore the towers to anything less than their former size and grandeur the terrorists have already beaten us.
Make them the tallest buildings in the world.
Build them bigger and better.

We should fight to assure that a violent minority does not diminish the life, or skyline, that we’ve built.
Rebuilding the “Twin Towers” would prove to the rest of the world that ” You may knock us down, but we will always end up STANDING TALL!”
GOD Bless America,

Rebuilding our Towers is what we MUST do! GOD BLESS OUR BELOVED COUNTRY! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
