  1. I would really like to see the twin towers built. One thing I don’t understand is why did they choose America? What did we ever do to them? It’s crazy.

  2. Let’s build them again. Just as tall, if not taller. Tallest in the world even. Two beacons of cold metal, masterfully raised into the sky, like iron flags whose broad skyward stripes and bright spire persevere through the bombs, planes and poisons some would bring against their fellow man.

And when they’re finished, I’ll climb to the top, by stairs if I have to, and whisper silently to the world. This is a symbol of a free people. There’s not a weapon in our world which can take that from us.

  3. Everytime I see the Towers in the skyline of New York in an old movie or television program I get a lump in my throat. Everytime I see a new movie or television program without the Towers, I feel even worse. The only way to heal the wounds caused on 9/11 is to REBUILD THE TOWERS!

  4. Only re-erecting the towers will make the appropriate statement about the future and America. Is it a vision of hope or a vision of fear?

  6. It’s really a shame that some people have short memories. We should never forget what happened to us on 9/11. Rebuild the towers the way they were. Stand proud always!

  7. The towers must be rebuilt to restore New York to its orignal glory and magnificent skyline. I remember watching them go up as a child and I was in awe that every month they grew a little taller. Now I see fear at the emptiness of that location that has remained empty for the past 6 years. Restore the strength and pride of all New Yorkers and all Americans. To build a “Freedom Tower” is succumbing to political correctness and showing our fear. If we do not rebuild them, there is no freedom.

  8. The Twin Towers are monuments that belong in New York, just like the Statue of Liberty. The Towers are world reknown and now are a symbol of Democracy, pride and courage! Rebuild them! Get the old drawings out and modify them with new building materials and rebuild them!!!

  9. I implore that both towers be re-built in not only a respect to the original skyline that has become and still is a symbol of NY but also a famous piece of cinema history. Every pre 9/11 film with NY in it has at least one shot of the towers. I don’t give a flying ___ about whats “in the works” Rebuild them bigger and more defiant than ever. They should be rebuilt to one and a half times original size. If your chicken ___ of terrorists then re-route flyzones, or better yet mount a S.A.M. on top!

  10. They hit them in 1993 and they were fixed and repaired and stood as a reminder to all who hate us that we will not fall. Rebuilding the original towers is only going to send the message to anyone who dares harm us that not only will you fail to break the resolve of the American people but we will always rise from the ashes stronger than ever before.

  11. Its taken 6 years, and we still have one gigantic hole. Obviously, there’s a reason. Nothing other than rebuilding the original Twin Towers makes sense. Since the original fell, its been nothing but politics and arguing over which plan is better. I would rebuild the original and make them taller, more beautiful, so that the terrorists know we did not stand down, but stood right back up and showed them it made us even stronger, and we will NEVER back down to them, EVER. God Bless America!!!

  12. Rebuild our towers! Even though I do not live in NYC, I see the towers as a part of our American culture. To let these towers fade away into history is doing a disservice to our country. They are more than just buildings, they now represent the hopes, dreams and success of all Americans.

  13. I loved the Twin Towers rebuild them near where they once were and the ‘Freedom Tower’ somewhere else. the twin towers might not have been the prettiest of buildings, but find somebody that would rather not have them. Rebuild them to be like the Burj al Dubia which is now the world’s tallest it is residential, offices, and hotels. It would shove it the terriorists’ face to rebuild the Twin Towers not a a so called ‘freedom tower’ rising 1776 (the year the US was founded) feet. Build the real thing!

  14. When I was 16, my aunt took me to the top of WTC. I remember how magnificent the towers were. Though I didn’t know any of the people who lost their lives on Sept. 11th, my heart goes out to their families and friends. I’ve heard so many people saying how we can’t let the terrorists win. I feel rebuilding the towers as they were, (but more structurally secure), would show them that they can’t knock us down, but they can’t keep us there. Give the twin towers back to the New Yorkers and to Americans.

  15. I think if you were to ask all the people who was murdered on 9/11 how the would want the towers rebuilt they would say “build back as close to how they originally looked”. It would be a fitting tribute to the people who died that day to restore the New York skyline back to its original splendor & would be a great way to say “take that” to all the enemies of freedom. As a tribute just build the towers back to the floor level where the planes hit. Honor America, honor those who gave all.

  16. I recently went to new york for the first time and felt saddened to see the skyline was nothing like I had seen on TV it looked like something was missing those Towers were seen in so many movies and they looked so proud and tall crossing the bridge I too would like to see them built again,I now understand the meaning of those Towers and Iam from LA and had never experienced the wonderful city but sad to say it was not the same, I grew to love the Towers just by seeing them in pictures and TV.

  17. Please, please, rebuild WTC 1 & 2 at least as they were, if not subtly modernized. If I had my way, a third tower would also be built where WTC 7 stood, similar in design but 30% taller and golden, a memorial tower. But if nothing else, rebuild 1 & 2.

The current design for the new WTC is maudlin and cheap looking, as if we wanted to build something tall but didn’t quite have it in us. If it gets built it will be a permanent bruise on the face of New York and the nation. Please don’t. Rebuild.

  18. Praise The Lord, yes we should rebuild the twin towers as a lasting memorial to the people who were lost in the destruction of the first instead of this freedom tower which would be a disgrace to New York and America.

  19. TWO TOWERS, not one – TWO TOWERS, one to symbolize LIBERTY, the other FREEDOM.

That is how you defeat terrorism, not by misguided forays into non-involved Islamic countries, not by creating a police state big brother Dept. of Homeland Security but by PUTTING BACK THOSE TOWERS, BIGGER AND BETTER.

  20. The enemy chose to destroy these towers as a statement. Therefore we have no choice but to rebuild the twin towers, if our response is to mean anything.

  21. There is no BIGGER “middle finger” to ALL of our opponents past, present and future then to rebuild the towers and show them the kind of resilience we AMERICANS are truly capable of!!!

  22. I believe that al-queda is winning right now because we have not rebuilt. It shows that we can be beaten and destroyed only to let the dust settle and move on. Is this what our country has come to? We have to rebuild otherwise they will keep blowing up buildings as soon as we let our gaurd down and why do they because they know that we will not rebuild. I say we MUST rebuild to show that we can not be beaten into the ground and that we are Strong and we are still AMERICA the land of the FREE!!
